Rosters 2019

Players,

I want to say thank you for your hard work at the 2019 Elk River/Zimmerman Girls LAX HS Tryouts; we are really looking forward to the 2019 Girls LAX season.

If a player would like to discuss their individual placement, we will talk with them before or after practice on April 4th.

If a parent would still like to discuss their child’s individual placement after we have talked to their child, the coaching staff will take calls or meet with you on Friday, April 5th, 2019. We appreciate the 24 hours cooling down period.  As a reminder, we have no problem discussing the player’s scores; however, we will not disclose comparison scores of other players and the scores are not the only deciding factor.

Please note to all players who were unable to attend tryouts, you will be placed on the team you played for during the 2018 season. As for any new players, you will be placed on the B team. All girls will go through a tryout process, once they have completed the tryout, they will be placed on the team that best fits them.

New Changes for the 2019 Girls High School Lacrosse Season

  •  Starting and Stopping the Play
  •  The whistle is used to stop and start play with the exception of SELF-START.
  • Following a whistle blown for a foul outside the critical scoring area, the player who is awarded the free position, after coming to a stop, may continue the play without waiting for an additional whistle from a settled stance (both feet stationary, on the ground and the ball positioned in the head of the Crosse)
  •  The offending player shall move 4 meters from the player taking the free position directed by the official. All players must move 4 meters away from the free position.
  • The play will begin once the ball carrier steps or passes the ball.
  • Self-Start is not an option when:
  • The game clock is stopped
  • There is a restraining line violation
  • The foul is in the critical scoring area
  • There is an alternating possession
  • There is an inadvertent whistle
  • A goal is scored

Mandatory: Please bring your signed handbook page to tryouts. The handbook is posted on the ERZ Team Website. Must be signed and turned in to Coach Stephanie before playing in any games.
